6-9 Months

I know it has been a really really long time, but here is what you have missed...

On Mother's Day, right before Sage turned 6 months old, she stood up for the first time. This was the start of new adventures for her... walking along the furniture as well as crawling all over.

At 6 months...
Sage loves the park and the swing...

One of her favorite places to hang out is at the front door with Kaya. They just sit or stand there forever talking away or looking outside at what is going on...

Not sure if you can really tell in this picture, but Sage's nose and upper lip are so red from her first cold...

Sage started swim class in June (she is now on her 4th month and loves it!)...

This picture is so funny! If we don't put the tray on she always puts her leg up like she is totally chillin out. She is our little relaxed baby :)

Father's Day (7 months)...

For the 4th of July we went to the Sacramento River Cats Game. Actually we were there to root for the (Giants AAA) Fresno Grizzlies! It was so much fun having lawn seats ($7!!!) making it really easy to stay for 5 hours! We arrived early to get a good spot and then stayed after to see the fireworks show. Sage enjoyed every bit of it and we even received a few compliments on how good she was from strangers :)

Marley has finally warmed up to Sage. For the longest time he was so afraid of her. Here they are playing ball for the first time...

At 8 months...

Family Camping...
It went very well and Sage had tons of fun. I would just say that it was not vacation or relaxation time. It seemed to be more work than at home, but well worth it! The only real negative was Sage getting her first diaper rash from wearing disposables :(

This is one of the funniest pictures. I think this is the only picture we have of Sage sticking her tongue out...

This next picture has a little story. So James forgot a hat for camping and we stopped at my Dad's before heading out. My Dad doesn't wear hats and he only had two to choose from. James picked the one that says Firestone Racing that must be from the 80's. So in this picture Sage is wearing a Tijuana, Baja Mexico t-shirt that was mine in the 80's and the hat that was my Dad's. I think it is the coolest thing...

The Whole Gang...

Mischievous Sage...
Somehow she found a way to get behind this tall table without knocking it over. I can tell you that it has now been moved away.

Here she is as happy as can be that she learned how to take off her diaper cover. I shouldn't even mention this because it will probably happen if I do, but she has not learned to take off her cloth diaper and smeared anything anywhere. I have heard some stories of kids doing this and I hope it doesn't happen to me. Gross!

When I thought that she wasn't smart/strong enough to open the lotion bottle, she did...

Most recently she has discovered the toilet paper...

Sage was so excited to meet her Great Grandparents from Chicago. Here she is with Nanny helping her walk at the park...

Cassidy also made the trip out to visit. Here she is so sweet giving Sage a hug...

Donovan pushing Sage on the little car...

Sage also met her Great Aunt Sara...
And Great Uncle Rich...

The latest pictures of Sage at 9 months...

These days we keep busy by going to swim class, library storytime, the zoo, walks to the park, and other various community activities. Sometimes life is stressful and on the go, but I try to always slow down and just sit, play, and take in all the moments we have together. Sage is such a wonderful baby and I feel so honored to be her Mother. It is hard to imagine that Sage will be turning 1 year soon. The time goes by so fast and I feel like she will be 5... 10... 15... before you know it :) Until next time...

Happy Easter!

Easter at our house was just like any other day. We spent the early part of the day working around the yard. Then we went out to our favorite neighborhood brewery for a late brunch. It was a nice and relaxing day. I dressed up Sage in her cute dress and bunny slippers for the occasion.

In the morning I searched everywhere for this little pink Easter bunny my Grandma sent from N.C. I put it on the changing table for Sage to play with a few weeks prior and had the idea of taking cute pictures on Easter. I even looked outside thinking the dogs might have gotten it. I finally had to give up and realize that the only place it must have gone was in the dirty diaper pail that was sent out the week prior. I know, gross right!? My parents bought Sage a bunch of toys recently and the bunny in the carrot car was going to have to do.

Sage is sitting in her cool new chair for outside. James and Sage were sitting there watching me making dinner. I know it is too big and she is kind of slouched in it, but doesn't she look like such a big girl?

At the end of the night I got down on the floor with Sage and started playing with her hair. She let me play with it for a while and then got a little cranky. I am trying to get her used to me doing her hair so that in the future it won't be a hassle trying to. I love that she has so much hair that I can put it in a pony. The picture below is a little dark but she does have a ponytail there.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. I can't wait until next year when Sage will be old enough to help dye eggs and hunt for them. HAPPY EASTER!!!

Sage and Kat

My cousin Joel and his wife Ana recently bought a house... Woohoo!!! So we went over to help them paint their new house and pack. This also gave Sage a chance to hang out with her cousin Katarina.

Sage has sleepy eyes on our way over to help

Here they are sharing Sage's toys

Katarina wants to play like a big girl but Sage is not quite up to her level...

Sage's 1st Zoo Trip

We are so lucky to live in a city that has a wonderful zoo. Even though Sage is a little young, I think she still enjoyed every bit of it. Plus it is great to take advantage of what our city has to offer. Also this is the zoo I grew up going to which makes it extra special :) On this particular day I was watching Vivien and thought a zoo trip would be the perfect activity.

Instead of a person's head fitting in the hole, Sage's entire body fits!

With the giraffe

Hangin with the flamingos

Train Ride

We picked the zebra car to ride in

On the carousel the giraffe didn't move up
and down so I thought it would be the safest.

Here you can see Vivien behind on the turtle.

Strike a pose!

Here is a picture of us with my Dad. He is not in
the pictures because he was taking them all. Thanks Dad!

Playing on the little playground. We left shortly after this
because it started sprinkling. Thank goodness it was at the end
of the day and it didn't spoil anything.

Back at home Vivien played with Sage on her lap. Super Cute :)
