Sage's 1st Zoo Trip

We are so lucky to live in a city that has a wonderful zoo. Even though Sage is a little young, I think she still enjoyed every bit of it. Plus it is great to take advantage of what our city has to offer. Also this is the zoo I grew up going to which makes it extra special :) On this particular day I was watching Vivien and thought a zoo trip would be the perfect activity.

Instead of a person's head fitting in the hole, Sage's entire body fits!

With the giraffe

Hangin with the flamingos

Train Ride

We picked the zebra car to ride in

On the carousel the giraffe didn't move up
and down so I thought it would be the safest.

Here you can see Vivien behind on the turtle.

Strike a pose!

Here is a picture of us with my Dad. He is not in
the pictures because he was taking them all. Thanks Dad!

Playing on the little playground. We left shortly after this
because it started sprinkling. Thank goodness it was at the end
of the day and it didn't spoil anything.

Back at home Vivien played with Sage on her lap. Super Cute :)

Joanne & Cassidy's Visit 3/22

Sage's Aunt Joanne and cousin Cassidy came down to visit from Washington. The day turned out to be beautiful so we spent most our time outside enjoying the nice weather. How wonderful to see Sage and her cousins together.

Here is Joanne pushing Cassidy and Donovan on the little car.

James holds Cassidy long enough for a picture before she is on the move again. You can tell she isn't really interested in posing for a picture and is eyeing something else.

Uncle John and Donovan

This is the only decent picture I have of all three of them. Of course Cassidy was trying to get away. That girl is always on the go! Can't wait to start chasing Sage around :)

Family picture (thanks Joanne)...

These next two pictures are so cute! I was sitting there looking at the scene thinking that this shot would look so good. Then Joanne popped in and it is one of the best pictures ever. I love it :)

PICNIC

My friend Kappie and I met during our pregnancies and now hang out together with our babies. On this particular day we went on a long walk and stopped halfway to have a picnic. At the end of the day we hung out at the park before going home. It was such a great day and actually a little warmer than expected. We were both in pants and felt like it was already time to be wearing shorts. It is exciting to know that the warm weather is on the way :)

Sage and her friend Asher...

She must be asking permission for what she is about to do next...

Asher didn't mind that Sage was really interested in sucking his toe!!!

Here we are warm and happy...

Sage's first ride on a swing...

St. Patty's & 4 Months

March 13th- Sage turns 4 months old and we celebrate by going to the St. Patrick's Day Parade.

At 4 Months:
- Sage has mastered rolling over
- She scoots backwards (very frustrating when she is trying to get something in front of her)
- She gets on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth
- Sage weighs 15 lbs.
- She sleeps through the night (most nights)

I wasn't quite sure how Sage would do going to the parade but it turned out to be a great event to take her to. There was so much to see and a lot of movement and excitement to keep her occupied. I am excited for the years to come and all of the fun events we will be able to go to.

Sage just wouldn't look at the camera; she was entertained by everything else...

These next two pictures are of the Sac City Rollers (sacramento roller derby team). My Sister Danielle just made the team and we were also there to see her in the parade.

She is in the middle with the little green hat on her head...

I had to get a picture of this young boy on the unicycle. Amazing...

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!

HAIR

Lately I have been trying to be more adventurous with Sage's hair. It is starting to grow out on the sides and look less like a mohawk. Thank Goodness!!! I know the look is very trendy but I personally don't like it when it comes to my cute little girl. The first two pictures are of Sage with some hair accessories and the last one shows how much her hair is growing...

February 2010

Daddy loves you! This is one of my favorite pictures...

Here I am trying to take a picture of Sage when Marley decides he wants to be in it also. This is not like Marley and I was very surprised. It seems that Marley keeps his distance when it comes to Sage, unlike Kaya who is trying to be in the mix at all times. Very cute! And I love Marley for always being so well behaved :)

Super Bowl Weekend and Victoria's Baby Shower

Sage thinks her Grandpa is so funny and just couldn't stop laughing at him. I know it kind of looks like she is flipping him off, but I love this picture, and we all know that she really isn't!

Tired baby with Grandma after just waking up. We were getting ready to head out to the baby shower.

At the shower Alana and Donovan were playing and it was so cute. I can't wait until Sage is old enough to play with her cousins. And we were there to celebrate another cousin on the way. Yippee! It is going to be great for the cousins to be close in age.

Adorable!!! Alana gives Sage a kiss.

The next day... Just hangin with my Grandpa watchin the game. Go Saints!!!

Here I am trying to get Sage to fall asleep by bouncing on the ball. She seems tired to me but...

She then decides never mind- I want to play with Daddy!

Best Friends- Sage loves Kaya so much. They have become close, if you could say that about a dog and baby. Whenever she sees her she lights up and gets very excited.

Happy 3 Months!

Sage is in her birthday suit!!! What a cutie...

Reading books is something Sage is very interested in. Mostly I read the books to her but there are no pictures because it is a nighttime routine and James is usually sleeping. This is a great picture though.

So Happy :)........

It looks like she is going for a ride here. Being on the boppy is one of her favorite things. She loves being on her stomach anyway, but the boppy gives her more momentum to try to scoot forward. She seems to always want to be doing something. Staying in one place is just not on the agenda anymore! Later that night...
Rolling Over!!! Sage can now roll over from her back to stomach! What an amazing accomplishment. I am so proud of her and can't wait for her to do much much more. What am I saying! Of course I can wait. I don't want her to grow up too fast. She already seems like such a big girl and I want to enjoy every baby moment before they are all gone! (2/25/10)

When Sage started jumping on our laps constantly we knew it was time for the Johnny Jumper.
Vivien was at our house the day we got it and wasn't quite sure how it worked. She really wanted to use it as a swing. Pretty funny how a child's mind works! I had to tell her that that would be dangerous and not a good idea :) Sage was very happy to have Vivien there to entertain her.

This is one of my most favorite favorite pictures. I love how cute the hat looks with her little hairs sticking out.

The last day of the month and time to go to brunch with the family. While waiting for Donovan and the rest of the gang to arrive, I captured this picture. Sage is on her Daddy's leg while trying to play with his shoelace. I love it! Well I feel like I love every picture and just can't seem to get enough. I can't help but be so in love with my baby. She is so perfect to me!
Sage and Donovan check each other out before we head to brunch.

Ending the day with a bubble bath...
